Report that shows a time series of daily count of project tasks in an OPEN state

I am trying to build a report in PA that will show a trend / times series snapshot for the daily count of project task records in an "open" state.

I have built my indicator, indicator source and data collector job, but my report is returning the total # of project tasks that meet my current conditions for every single day.

ie: I have 15 current task that meet conditions , but the report will show for example, 15 tasks that meet conditions on 11/30/25, when technically there were only 4 task open that date. I can get this info to display correctly if I built a classic UI report, using time series, but the lookback isn't as robust as PA time series date  ranges.

*  frequency = Daily

* aggregate = count

* conditions built for my requirements

Any ideas how I can accomplish getting my results to show the correct # of open task for each day and allow for the time series PA option.

Hi @kdelbridge ,

just found your post here also :). As stated on Discord, this is based on that you have ran a historical data collection for open tasks, but there is no date captured on the records for when they were open.

according to this, it will take the #of today and post on all dates.

only solution is to let it run automatically going forward, and you will see it will work as supposed to. There is no easy fix for historical data.
