Is there any way that I can filter the requested item by assignment group?

We actually have a report for catalog tasks for our team but there is a specific requested item that we want to filter out by team

You can add a filter to that report by reporting on the item field -
Example:
Request Item.Item is not <catalog item name>
Mike* My Collection of ServiceNow Stuff *
