Restrict editing of KB article to KB admins only

In the portal all users are able to see the actions menu to edit the KB artcile, is it possible to restrict so that the option will only be available for Knowledge Managers?

Hi @SNDP,

 

Yes, you will need to look at roles when assigning permissions to users for knowledge base. 

 

knowledge_manager Can administer knowledge bases and request new knowledge bases for the knowledge_admin to approve

 

knowledge_admin Can manage Knowledge Bases

 

knowledge Can write,edit, and review knowledge management articles

 

knowledge_view_as Can search/view article as another users

 

I'd say knowledge_view_as will be the one that you are looking to use for users and the others roles to fit your requirements.

As @Gioo said, You can use the OOTB functionalities like, Knowledge Base level options like can write, can read and edit or you can make changes in the ACL's.
