Hi,
we want to restrict the knowledge article based on the user criteria, Here there are 2 knowledge articles under same knowledge base. Here US users should have access only to the US knowledge article and UK users should have access only to UK KB articles. We are on Jakarta release and it is Knowledge V3, when I have referred to wiki documents they have mentioned not use ACL.
Now problem is even after using the user criteria users are able to access all the KB articles.

Hi,
That's because you are saying they can read and can contribute to the KNOWLEDGE BASE...not the articles themselves.
I think you'll need to create two separate knowledge bases, one for US and one for UK, restrict access that way and you'll be all set.
Please consider marking my reply as Helpful and/or Accept Solution, if applicable. Thanks!

You have to understand defining user criteria is describing who is a member of the criteria (does not define access) and applying the 'Can Read' is applying the criteria. In your example you've stated both groups can read all articles in the knowledge base.

Just one more question, I don't need to create WRITE ACL for this ?
You tell me to create an ACL, could you please provide code for advanced scripting
thank you.
