'Retain Reference' field in Archive Rule.

Hi All,

I have an archive rule which archives records and related records from base table to archive tables. Initially 'Retain Reference ' field was not selected in Archive rule and all the reference fields in base table was created as String fields only in Archive table. After selecting 'Retain reference' in archive rule , the string fields are changed to reference fields but the values in those fields are reflecting as empty now for the existing records(already archived records). 

For eg, values are present in XML for assigned to and assignment group fields but showing as empty in form.

Any suggestions on this issue? Why fields are not getting populated after string fields are changed to reference field?

There is a migration process documented to update past archive table structure and populate reference fields.

Hi rlatorre,

My table have 9lakh + records and data migration worked only for almost 50k records . The rest ones field type changed to reference but values are showing as empty as shown in above screenshot. 

In document it says " The job configures 10k records at a time unless there are more than 10k records with the same timestamp. The migration progress relies on the archived timestamp. " Is there any way to increase this configuration.

I do not know how to modify that configuration or if customers like us can do so. You should open a case with ServiceNow support with a question.
