I have a customer who has a long list of roles they they can't tell which are custom and which are OOB. They want to delete the custom roles and only keep the roles needed to answer customer support tickets.

practically it is tough to tell , but do they have naming convention? or you can filter via created by and might be put filter of created time as well., That is a option.

You should be able to add the column "created by" where you can see who has created the role.
