rollback variable editor

I changed variables in catalog item. 

But that cause problem. in RITM, variable editor with old variables showing nothing.

So i tried to rollback this item, but still showing anything.

How can i rollback variable editor in RITM?  It is possible?

Did you modify the variable formatter for the RITM table?

I modify just variables in catalog item.

What does it mean by modifying just variables in catalog item? How do you do it?
