Running MID servers on Linux hosts - any limitations for ITOM functionality (Discovery, Service Mappings, etc.)?

We currently have all of our mid servers running on Windows hosts. We are using the mid servers for import and integration activities, Discovery, Service Mapping, and Cloud Discovery. We are considering running the mid servers on Linux hosts in the future. If we switch to Linux hosts (eliminating the Windows hosts completely), would the change impact the existing functionality in any way?

Basically, I need to know if there are any limitations to running the mid servers on Linux versus Windows? Pros and cons of each would be nice.
