Hello Experts,
we are facing issues in relationship editor wherein few users are seeing Save, Save and Exist button as read only, This is happening for few Application CI records
I could also see some orphaned relationship records, is this something to do with this issue.
user cannot see Save, Save and Exit button
whereas same user can see the buttons for different CI's in the same class.
any troubleshooting steps that I may follow to eliminate this issue.
Thanks,
Pradeep.

We had the same issue - when we opened some CIs in the relationship editor, the Save/Save and Exit buttons were disabled for that CI but not for other CIs.
We discovered some records related to that CI in the cmdb_rel_ci table were missing a parent or child for whatever reason.
Once we cleaned up the records, the buttons become enabled for that CI.

Hi Lucy,
I am facing the same issue for some of the CI's.
If possible, will you suggest me, what are all the required relationship should be available in upstream and downstream for that CI to get accessible for save button in relationship editor?
Thanks in Advance!
Regards,
Narendran

Deleting the null type relationships from cmdb_rel_ci solved the issue for me. Thanks!

We are facing the same issue and I currently have a HI ticket open on this. I checked the cmdb_rel_ci table for the specific CI and there are none with missing parent/children. I do see some entries with no 'type'.
