Hi.
I am trying to change the Export Row Limit for exporting .xlsx format files from 10,000 to 20,000 from "Import Export" in "System Properties".
How does this change affect my instances and to what extent?

Hi @__ __2 ,
Increasing the export limit from 10,000 to 20,000 rows in ServiceNow will make it possible to export larger sets of data in .xlsx files. However, it may slow down exports, affect server performance, and impact user experience. Ensure your system has enough resources and test the change in a non-production environment before applying it.
Please mark it as solution proposed and helpful if it serves your purpose.
Thanks,
Anand

Is there a smart way to check to make sure the system has enough resources?

Hi @__ __2,
To verify system resource sufficiency, perform system monitoring, load testing, and resource analysis to assess CPU, memory, and disk usage, ensuring that the planned increase in export limit doesn’t lead to performance degradation or server overload. Collaboration with IT teams and historical data analysis can provide insights into resource capacity and potential upgrades if needed.

Hi @__ __2 ,
It is important to note that modifying this system property can have an impact on your instance’s performance. Increasing the export row limit can cause longer processing times and may lead to timeouts or other performance issues. Therefore, it is recommended that you test this change in a non-production environment before implementing it in your production instance.
