One minute the script editor seemed to be working, then I was automatically logged out and when I logged back in the script editor options and functionality is almost not there. It doesn't matter which scope I am in or if I have complete write access to the record. Even my own custom records are displaying the same behavior.
Here's an example of the script editor on a widget:
The instance is on Xanadu patch 2. This appears to be only happening for my user. I've had other developers check and the script editor is working fine for them.
Here is what I've tried so far:
- Cleared cache. Both the browser cache and I've also run /cache.do. No change.
- Tried it in a different browser. Same issue.
- I've impersonated someone else and it appears to work fine.
- Turned off Next Experience and turned it back on. No change.
- Turned accessibility mode off and on. No change.
Any ideas as to what could be causing this? thoughts on what I should do?

Oh good grief. The first small icon in the screenshot I pasted in my question post is for turning on/off syntax highlighting and script formatting! I must have inadvertently clicked on it and of course did not realize that's what caused everything to disappear.
I'm a bit surprised there's no confirmation dialog when clicking it. Anyways, hopefully this post can be of help to someone else.

I seam to remember having this issue once all so and found that when I cleared the browser data I specifically had to tell it to clear site data and that cleared it up.
Try an incognito window and see if that helps.

Lol, I assumed you had already clicked that to be sure.
