Hi @dwef ,

Global Search takes time to load, are you waiting for that duration, try waiting for 40,,60 seconds atleast.

Thanks.

Hope it helps.

Hi @Community Alums ,

Thanks much for your response. Actually, it's not about it is taking time to load, the problem is when I paste a incident or any ticket number it is not giving result of that ticket in 1st attempt, after 3-4 times of search only I am getting that ticket. But sometimes at 1st try I am getting.

Could you please help me with reason and solution to overcome this.

Thanks.

Hi @dwef

Issue Could Be:

  • Indexing and Caching: New or updated ticket records may not immediately appear in search results due to ongoing indexing or caching processes.
  • Search Configuration: ServiceNow's search settings may prioritize or delay searches based on system load or recent activity.
  • Network Latency: Performance issues or delays in network connectivity can affect how quickly search results are retrieved.
  • Instance Load: Heavy load on the ServiceNow instance may lead to delays as the system manages multiple requests simultaneously.
  • Browser or Client Issues: Local browser settings or cache issues could impact the speed at which search results are displayed.

To resolve this:

  • Clear Cache: Clear your browser cache and cookies to ensure local settings are not affecting search performance.
  • Monitor Instance Status: Check ServiceNow instance status for any ongoing maintenance or performance issues that could impact search functionality.
