Service Catalog - When a laptop is ordered, how do I automatically add a monitor to the REQ?

For our Service Catalog, when a certain laptop (RITM) gets ordered I'd like to automatically add a monitor (another RITM) to that REQ.  How do I go about doing that?  We're only using ITSM (no ITAM)  Both of these items already exist in the SC.

To also comment on the order guide suggestion being brought up...this depends. In my opinion, you don't necessarily jump to an order guide just because you have 1 scenario where something else may need to be included. You can...but if this was a catalog item already in existence and has been used quite a bit, then you'd have to weigh a few different options before going to an order.

If you are building this initially, then perhaps yes, an order guide would be suited.

If there are multiple outcomes from one form being filled out, then yes, an order guide would be suited better here.

If it's an edge case scenario where this one particular item may need to have 1 additional thing added, again, that doesn't scream order guide.

Without knowing additional context I don't think any external person can make that call at this time.

You could make the laptop as part of an Order guide and in your Rule Base you would include both the laptop and monitor so that both RITMs would be created simulataneously and can be approved by the cost center owner as needed.

Use an order guide, rather than custom code.
