Hello,
I am completely baffled on how to make a URL clickable on the Form Widget in the Portal. Our client has a requirement to include multiple clickable URLs on their back-end form, which they also need available on the Portal. This is obviously no problem in the console, but nothing I've tried for Portal has worked.
I've tried read-only HTML fields, which do not work in Portal. It ignores the read-only parameter on the dictionary, client scripts, UI Policies and even outright ACL restrictions. The field is always writable. I've tried HTML Annotations, though I know Annotations do not work in Portal. I've tried URL fields, but those also do not work in Portal. I've tried

snippets in Journal fields, etc. Nothing works. I cannot make a URL clickable on the Form Widget.
Am I missing something? Should this functionality be so incredibly difficult to implement? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a similar issue.
In the default view once a user has put the link in the field they can lock the field and it turns the URL into a clickable link.
Is this possible in the Portal?
I have musicians who do not have PC's and will be looking at the songs from their phone, so asking them to copy and paste the link into their phone browser will be a task too far apparently for these band members.
I was hoping the default form widget would carry that functionality across, but alas it does not.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
thanks!

Unfortunately we were never able to solve the problem with the OOTB widget. I even asked for suggestions at K18 and was told we would need to implement something custom, which we ended up doing on subsequent projects.
Sorry I don't have better news. 😞

Hi,
I'm sort of confused with this entire thing, was the goal of this NOT to clone the form widget and see what you can do OOB? Because simply cloning the widget and adding in some HTML would solve this? Also the form widget loads differently depending on what you were showing on it? So you could have had URLs in the description of the record producer, etc. and those too would show as links?
Please consider marking my reply as Helpful and/or Accept Solution, if applicable. Thanks!
