Does anyone know where the defined "option schema" fields are displayed on this form as explained above?

Field has been defined as detailed, yet it doesn't show?   Anyone know the prerequisites for these fields in-order for them to be displayed and used?

Hi Scott,

The widget option schema value can be setup initially from the widget form, (pencil icon which you would see when you add that widget on your page). When you click on pencil icon, you can see the fields of widget option schema and set values there. Once set, you can see the value in "Widget Instance". It is stored in "Addition options,JSON format" field present on widget instance.

The other way to set the widget option schema value, is Control + right-click the widget and select instance options on your page.

For this, you have to first open your SP portal page, then take your cursor to the widget you want to configure, click Control + right-click, you will see multiple options but you have to select insyance options to configure the form value.

Where is this "pencil" as I don't have that on my form view?

Neither do I have it in the container editor, where one adds the widget to the page?

Please click on "Open In Designer"   present under related links. It will open a page in Edit mode. Then hover on widget you added on your page. Then you will see ontop right side of your widget added on pages "pencil icon". click on that!!!

Seriously, how is anyone meant to find those, esp. being 'default settings' which are meant to be easily accessible!   Talk about documentation fail with a assumption that developers are using "designer", when reading it.   Who on earth uses "Designer" as a developer anyhow?
