ServiceNow Archiving Issue: Catalog Tasks Losing Assignment Group Value (Retain References True)

I'm experiencing an issue with archiving Requests in ServiceNow. While I've successfully archived Requests, their associated Request Items and Catalog Tasks have also been archived. I've set the 'Retain References' flag to True, but I've found that some Catalog Task fields, like 'Assignment Group,' are missing their values. This is despite the field's presence in the archived payload logs.
For example, I should see 'IT Helpdesk' in the Assignment Group field, but it's empty.
Can anyone provide insight into why this might be happening despite the 'Retain References' flag being set to True, or how to troubleshoot this archiving behavior?

can you double check if the group is deleted by other source and not through the archive rules?

yes nothing deletes the value even when I restore the task catalog the assignment group field is filled with the previous value as when it was not archived
