ServiceNow Integration to X matters

Hi All,

We are using ServiceNow Istanbul version.

Our client planning to integrate text messaging app to ServiceNow.
Hence we are planning to show some sample demo in Non Prod instance with X matters app to the Client.

We are completely new to the X matters interration to SeriviceNow.

We want below details to take this task.

1. Is it possible to interate X matters to Our Non Prod Instance for demo (1 or 2 demo messages is enough)

2. Is it requires any special licences for this from ServiceNow and X matters

3. Steps to integrate to ServiceNow

4. Any script need to written for sending message (Like Notification emails)

Yes it is completely possible, you just need to activate the plugin in non prod instances.



2. Is it requires any special licences for this from ServiceNow and X matters


Yes xMatters license version needs to be purchased, support to messages and calls will be available on after you purchase the license.



3. Steps to integrate to ServiceNow


xMatters generally comes in the form of a plugin, you need to activate it and it will have all the essential web services, script includes for integration.



4. Any script need to written for sending message (Like Notification emails)


If Messages needs to be configured, you need to pass the fields which needs to be displayed on the text messages/calls,scripting activity which generally is updating, at this point or sometimes this can simply achieved using system properties.

This is the correct answer. The Dublin/Calgary references are old and should not be used.
