ServiceNow - Network Bandwidth Usage

Does anyone have an estimate on how much network bandwidth a ServiceNow user would consume in kbps (average and peak)?

Lots of variables in that estimate.


  • Is this an end user or a fulfiller or an admin?
  • What applications are being used?
  • Are you embedding streaming content in to knowledge bases? (as an example)
  • Are they using the standard UI or Service Portal (or CMS)?
  • Are they uploading or downloading attachments on a regular basis?


It could be as little as 0 or it could be as high as megabytes per second depending on a lot of things.

My understanding is that it would be HTTPS sessions to the ServiceNow portal and access for managing tickets.
