ServiceNow Self Service Portal global search issue

Hi ServiceNow Community,

 

I hope all is well.

 

I was wondering whether someone can help me with an issue I noticed in our Self-Service Portal, currently search only finds catalog items if you type in the full catalog name.

 

E.g 

Catalog Item: Whimsical

 

If a user was to seach "Whim" or even "W", we would have hoped it returned results close to their search, instead users are having to type in the full name of the catalog item to be able to find it.

 

Is there a way we can update Global search to fix this?

 

I have attached a screenshot as an example.

Hi @Masum172 

 

Greetings!!

 

I am not a pro in ServiceNow, but it looks like it's required to make changes as Meta Tag but if you shorten the length of words, it takes more time to search. 3-4 alphabet is the right way instead of single alphabet.

 

Check the Search widget on Portal and hope you find something.
