Dev Environment with ticket demo demo-data

Good day

sorry for asking such basic questions but I am completely new in ServiceNow.
I am looking for a way to get some demo ticket data into my a fresh ServiceNow dev environment.
When I look into the catalog, I have no clue if there is a corresponding plugin with demo data available.

Use Case: I come from the Microsoft Power Automate side and want to integrate service now into a process as a POC.
Would be great to have some ready to use data in an environment to get this started fast.
Any suggestion is highly appreciated !
Thank you in advance !

Hi @MattiasS6498719,

when it comes to ServiceNow, there is something called out-of-the-box (OOTB or OOB) and that's simialr to a new phone - when you unbox it the current state is the OOTB, then you will have chance to configure it (use existing stuff to activate and deactivate) or customise it (do more complex changes).

Any instance with ServiceNow will ALWAYS have ITSM inside of plus some platform basics. If you need to use HR or Security, then you install the plugins. And during the plugin installation, there is a chance to load demo data.

So to answer your question - you can get demo data for new plugins that you are going to install (ensure it's PDI and not PROD instance!!!) but I'm not sure if it's possible for existing plugins already installed to additionally create demo data. You can of course create them manually or import from another instance if existing...

TL;DR you can load the demo data, there's checkbox for it but only visible where it's applicable, not always:

Let me know if that helped or what else would it take

Hi @MattiasS6498719 ,

In Addition to what @GlideFather  has provided, We can Load the Demo data after the Plugin has been installed in System.

Please check below KB - https://support.servicenow.com/kb?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0722909

If this helped, Please make this as helpful so that others from the community can benefit form this.
