Set the assigment group based on the Record producer field's value

Hi i made a record producer and a variable in it called 'Merch'. This variable has 500 records.(variable is lookup select box, the lookup table is choice table).

When on SP i select one record for example 'Fruit' i would like to set the assigment group G01 to it (i need to assign these 500 records into 30 groups just once). How is it possible? I tried client script but it is really cumbersome and tiresome to add all the datas and make so many arrays. Thanks

Hope you are doing well.

 

I also faced this situation in the past. So in order to fix the same I have created a custom table with a few fields like choice and group name.

In my case I have extended the custom table with "Data Lookup Matcher Rules" table as it is exempted table in serviceNow
