Shift fields from right to left on the form

Hi,

We have fields on the incident form displaying in 2 columns left and right by using |-split-|. Based on some condition we want to hide the fields which are visible on left side and want to shift the fields from right to left.

Is this possible in Geneva ?

Hello Sunil,

You can try this : Configure a view for the table and configure a view rule applying appropriate condition.

When the condition matches, system will automatically apply the view and your fields will be displayed accordingly.

Don't you need to submit the form first to get the view rule to take effect? My impression was that he wanted this done dynamically.

Personally, I would consider the user experience of fields jumping around on the form a bit annoying.

Yes, you are right Chuck. Form needs to be submitted to get the view rules applied.

Dynamically it is not possible.

Hi Sunil,

What are you asking is not possible with "out of box" functionality. Hiding fields doesn't not provide a way to re-arrange fields in other splits or sections (aside from moving fields below up to fill in blank spaces.) No right-to-left mechanism. I suggest you look at alternatives for your layout (perhaps put frequently hidden fields on the right?
