I'm seeing something really odd in matrix table.
The Brokerage field is a reference - pointing to the Broker's record. As in the screenshot, SOME of the fields are not clickable:
I know that:
- this is not an ACL issue, I have access to everything
- the XML for records that work and those that don't are identical
- lookups to this matrix work fine, regardless of whether the link appears here or not
- it's not a node issue, it's persistent across instances and users
But what the heck is happening here?

Hi,
The Brokerage record that isn't clickable, is the same (at least in this screenshot). Have you compared against any others that also aren't clickable? Does the record(s) actually exist? If you go to that reference table, is the record actually there?
I appreciate you offering up with all you've tried or what you think it's not.
Can you verify a few other things related to what I've mentioned above. Specifically talking about the Brokerage record themselves, not any reference from Underwriters to it.

Does the record exist - yes it does. (Sorry that was my first thought.)
When I go to the Brokerage table, I can pull up the records without any issue.
Someone else suggested it might be the period at the end of the broker's name. It's not, BUT a save of the brokerage record does fix the issue.
I'd still love to know what's happening here.

Hi,
Unfortunately, without more information from you as far as testing things and the context, I don't think we can fully help.
Have you tried to create a new underwriting record and then use that same reference field and save, does it work the first time with that?
Were the records imported in and transformed? If so, there could have been an issue with that where it didn't link up properly.
Again, more information is needed by you. Of course, SN isn't picking this one reference record randomly to cause this issue, so there's more going on that you may be able to tell us to help give a bigger picture. Hopefully?

Allen, I appreciate you digging into this with me.
Have you tried to create a new underwriting record and then use that same reference field and save, does it work the first time with that?
I've created a new Brokerage record and then created records in the Matrix for that broker. We have two ways of doing that - directly in the table and through a service request. I tried both. Both worked. Lookups to the Broker record from other applications work just fine.
Were the records imported in and transformed? If so, there could have been an issue with that where it didn't link up properly.
The Brokerage records are created by a daily feed through MQ Series / IIB. I had a look at a random sampling of six Brokerage records. They were all created from 2014 - 2018 (new codes are created daily.) They haven't been updated in some time. I have no evidence to suggest there is anything wrong with the way the records have been created or updated.
It's quite possible that this issue has been happening for quite some time and no one has noticed until now. That doesn't help.
There definitely has be something different about the records in the Matrix where the link is broken or within the linked Broker record. I'm not sure what else to check.
