You can do it by ctrl+right click. Instance options

One you click on instance options you'll get default sort field, you can change it from there

@BoHyun Jung refer below thread, seems like others faces the same issue and running the scheduled job "Populate Taxonomy Content Order" Resolved our issue:

Kind Regards,

Ravi Chandra.

Hi Ravi,

Brand new user to ServiceNow here...

I have the same question BoHyun Jung had.  Firm wants Employee Center topics to sort alphabetically by default.  Currently the Sort by drop down defaults to Popular.

When I click on a Popular Topic on the Employee Center home page, I want to be taken to a list of items available alphabetically, every single time.  I don't want my users to have to go to the Sort by drop down and pick A-Z.  I want A-Z to be in the Sort by box all the time.  The "Popular" option can be there but not as a default view.

Any guidance is greatly appreciated!

Cheers,

Jenny

Go to instance options and you'll see default sort field, you can set alphabetical there so that it will be set as a-z
