Hardware Asset Management Implementation - Approx Timeframe and High Level Steps - OOTB

I'd really appreciate any high-level timeline estimates and any other handy details that anyone may be able to share with me, regards a standard Hardware Asset Management implementation, which we have been asked to scope for a client.
At a high level, what is the estimated timeframe involved in a standard out of the box implementation of the HAM module - are we talking 3, 4, 5 or 6 months for example and perhaps 2-3 developer resources involved?
I am trying to pull together a high-level estimate of the standard timeframe/roadmap, which a typical HAM implementation takes.
Also any details on the high level steps involved and how long each step/section takes at a very high level.
Basically just looking for anything to help me estimate/scope this out as I have not implemented the HAM module before but we have to do a rough proposal.
