State’s values not showing in Flow Designer

Hi,

i add new State values to sysapproval_approver table but when I create a new Flow Desinger, inside the Ask for Approval stage, i cant see/choose these new values that i added, only the OOB values, why is that?

Just to clarify your situation — you created a new state field choice on the sysapproval_approver table, but it's not appearing in the Ask for Approval action. Is that correct?

i added choices to the OOB state field on sysapproval_approver table but i cant see them in the flow designer. I can only see the OOB choices like:

rejected, approved, cancelled etc

The Ask for Approval action is a predefined logic that only recognizes and processes a fixed set of state values:

• 1 – Requested

• 2 – Approved

• 3 – Rejected

It does not dynamically fetch new choice values you add to the state field. This action is hardcoded to follow the typical approval lifecycle based on OOB values

You can't use the custom choices for State in "Ask for Approval" flow action.

Only OOTB choices are available for selection.
