Submit Catalog Item Request Action

I can't believe this isn't already an option but does anyone have an alternative to the OOB Submit Catalog Item Request action that will accept an input of the record as opposed to having to set a static record. I want to be able to loop through a list collector for record items and submit the request for each for an onboarding process to collect additional software but don't want to create a rule base for every software because that is a maintenance nightmare and don't want to do a generic catalog task because I want each software's approval process and groups used.

I am amazed this wasn't a consideration when that action was made so any custom actions or any suggestions would be helpful.

Could you please elaborate more on your request? And may be try and some screenshot for what you are looking for. If you are looking for a way to generate multiple tasks from the options chosen in a list collector variable, then that is doable with scripting. But I would like to get a better understanding on your use case, so that I can help you more here.
