Substate value in Asset table is being populated with script

Hi , 

 

I am trying to update the asset using now agent app, when I change the location and update the asset at this point state of this asset is "inservice". After the update being made the substate value is being populated as "javascript:if(current.install_status ==" 

 

Please do let me know why this is happening
