Survey - users can submit a survey multiple times

Hi guys,

I have searched a lot for answers, but nobody seems to have a straight answer.
How can we restrict a recipient only being able to sumbit a survey once? There should be an OOB for this. I want to avoid creating a client script or BR to check for this.

There is a "Allow Retake" button where you build the survey. This is unselected, but I can still answer the survey more than once when using the URL.

We are running on Jakarta p9.

Apply a write ACL that says false when the state of the survey is complete.

But this will become default for all surveys? Correct?

Shouldn't there be an OOB solution? Like the "allow retake" selection that does not work?
