Tab title is not being translated on Portal when settings are changed in profile

Hello, I need to translate the tab section titles to corresponding user languages. Need some help on this. Thank you

Hi Alex and Sandeep, thanks for you response. But I tried another solution which has worked out. Changing the tab name under Standard Ticket Configuration -> Tab Configuration -> Tab Name while changing language option in my profile preferences for each language

Hi @VELLA PRIYA HAR ,

With portal widgets you can simply translate by switching to appropriate language.

 

1) go to widget options - Ctrl+Right click on widget

2) then from hamburger menu choose Open in platform

3) at the bottom of the page on the tab Presentation you can find Title which you can edit for language you are currently switched to.

4) to edit it in another language simply switch Service now to desired language and edit this field.

Note that Title field if of type translated_text.

So, there's a few ways to do the technical part of this, but to keep it as simple as possible I'd suggest watching my webinar on this topic in this post (so you understand how the translation tables work, especially in the context of a Service Portal), then using the tool I talk about in the post as it will make things significantly easier,

That will achieve the same thing, but doing it manually like by changing your session language to enter the values is not our recommended or best practice approach as it can actually cause unintended side-effects.
