Template breaks suggestions from short description

Created a template and when our techs are clicking the link at the bottom for the template and applying it, the knowledge article suggestions that usually are provided by typing in short description vanish, any ideas around this?

So in the first one where we have short description titled is where when typed it brings up the search results listed in Knowledge results that pulls from our knowledge article

 

In the second one,  the text in the Description was applied by a created template and the knowledge results are gone.
