Hi all,
I have got a repeated problems on layout every time I import my update set into a new instance.
Here is the steps I did in instance A:
1. Go to System Applications > Applications.
2. Click Edit button of the Application I want to export.
3. In the Related Link section, choose Publish to Update Set...
4. Go to System Update Sets > Local Update Sets and select the update set I just published.
5. In the Related link section, choose Export to XML.
In this point, I get the update set needed to be import into another instance.
Here is the steps I did in instance B:
1. Go to System Update Sets > Local Update Sets.
2. In the Related Links section, choose Import Update Set from XML.
3. Choose the update set and upload it.
4. Preview the update set and commit it.
In this point, I can observe the application is shown in my application menu.
When I click in any form, there is always some sections missing.
For example, I have three sections in a form:
Section A
field 1:
Section B
field 2:
Section C
field 3:
field 4
What I observed after import:
Section A
field 1:
Sorry to be a long problem, but we are really getting some many troubles and workloads causing by this problem.
Anyone can help to tell how to solve this?

Just wondering why you aren't using using System Update Sets > Update Sources to transfer update sets across environments? I not sure if it will make a difference to this issue in particular, but this is how I transfer my update sets.
Transferring Update Sets - ServiceNow Wiki
Relating back to the question, I have had so much issues with form changes not coming in older versions of the tool that I ended up doing it manually as it was just mucking everything up.

You can do the following to debug this:
- Navigate to the Update Set record
- Click on the Update Set Log tab
- Open the list in a new window
- Search through the log for the word 'skipped' or 'ignored' anything that looks strange.
I have found that ServiceNow has inexplicably skipped/ignored form changes that have not come up as an error in the preview.
If you can provide this to the HI technician they should be able to help.
