Ticker Widget

Does anyone know how a can add a ticket widget to a homepage. This would look like the News alert you see scrolling on a building in Time Square.

I want to add something like a stock ticket at the top of a homepage so that when there is a company wide alert that needs to go out, it can be displayed there.   Something like letting people know that email is down and being worked on.   Any help would be appreciated.

Greetings,

You can easily add the News Gadget to any Content page.   If you have an existing Page for your home page, you can navigate to it Content Management > Sites - Look for the the Home Page - Edit Page.   You can click the "Add Content" link at the top left and then drop the Gadget labeled "News".

Hi John,   Thanks for the tip but that is not what I am looking to do.       I want a ticket that I can edit to let people know that a system is down.   Like when there is a news bulletin.

Hi,

I would suggest creation of new Topic in Kb Article and create one Dynamic Content block to fetch the records from Kb Article table.

I have attached update set of the same. Once you commit the update set, you would be able to see "News Ticker" as topic to kb article and "Ticker Widget" under Dynamic Content. You can add the same to homepage.

I am talking about something that scrolls left to right, not top to bottom.   I also don't see your attachment.   Please advise.   Thanks
