Time Worked field on Incident form

Guys,
I would like to understand how can we track the manual efforts (put by Assignment/Resolver groups) over an incident?
I am aware of the "Time Worked" (OOB) field which is available on the incident form and it is auto calculated when ever the user opens the form and update it. But can we use the same field for manual efforts entry?

Hi Vijay,
Will those entries made manually. If so, I would suggest you get a new field created & then make manual updates required over it rather than modifying OOB one.

Thanks for the info jaspalsinghchot. So this customization needs a custom table and relationship with the incident table right. Are there any alternatives?

yes..users can change data in the time worked field before saving the record

Hi Girish,
I tried adding/reducing the numbers in that field. It is updating properly for positive entries and adding the same to the related list but not for negative entries. Did you experience the same?
