Time Worked field on Incident form

Guys,

I would like to understand how can we track the manual efforts (put by Assignment/Resolver groups) over an incident?

I am aware of the "Time Worked" (OOB) field which is available on the incident form and it is auto calculated when ever the user opens the form and update it. But can we use the same field for manual efforts entry?

if you are admin you can reduce the time from related list below task record

Hi Vijay,

You can create a new field and based upon your logic you can update that field with the cumulative time. Let say there are 2 person who worked on the same ticket and 1st person worked for 3 mins then we can update the field as 3 mins and when 2nd person worked for 5 min then we can add this time to previous time and can update the field with the sum. If you also want to track which person worked how many hours then you need to maintain a table in this case and can store the individual contribution with reference to incident in this table.

Hope this   helps.

Hi Vjay,

You can go to the Related List -> "Time Worked" from there you can manually Change or Delete time worked records.

Hi Diane,

I tried this too if we add the efforts, the "Time Worked" field is not getting updated. And also it is not allowing to correct (to reduce the efforts in case entered wrongly prior) the existing records.

Hi Vjay,

Can you send me a screenshot of the problem please? Or it just doesn't update plainly?
