Translation to non supported language is not shown in portal

Hello,
I am quite new to servicenow and I am facing a problem with translation to a non supported language. In particular if I edit a previously done translation it is not shown immediately in the portal (employee center). Sometimes it takes more than an hour and even more to be seen in the portal. From my research I believe it has to do with the cache. If I use the cache.do the changes are shown immediately, so I believe it has nothing to do with a wrong configuration. I believe it is not a good practice to flash the cache in the production environment and so I would like to ask if someone else is facing the same issue and if there is a better alternative to avoid using the flash of the cache.
Any help will be appreciated.
