Trying to find the Reports - View / Run in my PDI

I am a ServiceNow Platform administrator for my agency. We have 3 instances, (dev, test, and prod), and each instance contains a report module that I cannot recreate in my PDI. I am trying to troubleshoot slowness when users search reports. I can recreate the slowness and observe the web browser time/outs and prompts to 'wait' or 'exit'. The problem is when I go into my PDI and look for the report module, it is now found. I cannot figure out what plugin is controlling the existence of this 'report' application. I'll attach a screen shot of my instance and PDI.

Hi @un2us ,

 

The most obvious reason why you don't have the view / run in your PDI, is due to that you requested the PDI on Xanadu and have now upgraded to Vancouver. If this is the case, then yes, the view / run will not be available due to platform analytics.

Hi @un2us 

Which release version are you on in your PDI? If you're on Xanadu or a later version, you'll see the legacy report now. As part of Xanadu, the legacy reporting module was removed, enhanced, and merged with Platform Analytics under Data Visualization.

Hi @un2us ,

If the Reports module is missing in your ServiceNow PDI, it could be due to several reasons. First, ensure the Reporting application is activated under System Definition > Applications. If the application is inactive, the module won’t appear. 

Check if the module is hidden by navigating to System Definition > Modules and ensuring the Reports module is not marked as hidden. Also, clear any filters in the application navigator that might exclude the module. Ensure the necessary plugins, such as Reporting and Performance Analytics, are activated under System Definition > Plugins.

Browser cache or UI issues can also cause the module to disappear. Clear your cache or try accessing the PDI in an incognito window.

If the PDI was recently refreshed or is corrupted, request a new refresh from the ServiceNow Developer Program. Finally, check system properties like glide.reporting.enabled and pa.enabled under System Definition > System Properties to ensure they are set to true.

By following these steps, you should be able to restore the Reports module in your PDI. If issues persist, contact ServiceNow Developer Support.

I released the PDI instance 'Xanadu' and requested a new instance on the 'Washington DC' release and it worked. Thank you for taking the to help, and offer possible solutions.
