Dear community,
I am writing to discuss a matter regarding the development of our chatbot using ServiceNow Virtual Agent. Our team has been working diligently to integrate a custom Natural Language Understanding (NLU) model, specifically the Watson Assistant thought API, instead of the traditional SNOW model.
Utilizing the VA Designer, we have successfully designed the flow and achieved commendable results thus far. However, we have encountered a particular issue when employing the Dynamic Choice feature within the Designer. Our intention is to provide users with the flexibility to either type text or pick an option when they encounter this specific block in the flow. Regrettably, the current functionality only allows users to pick an option, limiting their ability to input text. Please refer to the attached image for more details.
We consider this feature to be of utmost importance, as it is an integral part of the business plan that we presented to our customer. Nonetheless, we find ourselves unsure of how to implement this capability effectively.
Therefore, we kindly request your assistance and guidance in resolving this matter. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your attention, and we look forward to your response.
Sincerely,
Luca

Hi @dluca,
We have a requirement to implement the same functionality - did you have any success getting both the suggested options and free text working at the same time?
Thanks very much,
Ed

would be so nice to have this feature
especially that Teams do not block user input on choice selection
