This is a critical feature users use with ticket management.   Can't find it anywhere in U16.   Please help!

Hi Trisha, unfortunately, split layouts are not supported with UI16 anymore. If you need them, you have to go back to UI15.

Thanks Julian!   However this is beyond disappointing.   You've got call centers and PM's that RELY on this feature.   Not to knee jerk react, but I'm assuming that there is a 'replacement' feature in the new UI that accomplishes the benefits that the split layout does?   Otherwise, can we get an explanation of why this went away?   I imagine that as users beyond us early adopters encounter this it's going to become an issue for ServiceNow.

I understand you're saying the work around is UI15, however as always we don't accept that as an answer as we keep moving forward in the technology, not back.

APPRECIATE your time and thank you for your help!

Trisha, I'm sorry but I don't know the details behind the decision. I'm not part of product development so I'm not involved in this process, and your best chance to get your concerns noted is probably HI.

Sorry Julian, and I totally understand.   I'm just crying on the inside so was asking if you knew.   I GREATLY appreciate your prompt response and have actually already asked our account manager.

Thank you again!

Where are these <expletive deleted> developers and how can I find them? Apparently they are on another planet.

I will find them! And then....

I have a similar issue with UI16 in that form pane tabs are not implemented in UI16 so you can't have multiple records open in the same window.

I opened a HI ticket and was told (a) HI doesn't have access to the UI designers and (b) yep, that's what is implemented.   Hopefully your experience will be better.   I'm currently following up through the sales channel.

HI was able to point out that you can administratively configure the system to allow end users to dynamically switch between UI15 and UI16.   We're planning to investigate what dependencies there are on UI16 and may end up going to Geneva without enabling UI16 (or perhaps stay on Fuji longer than we'd otherwise would).
