Unable to add CMDB Field to alm_hardware table via Dot Walking

Hello,
I have a field(Last Logon Time) on the Personal computer(cmdb_ci_pc_hardware) table, and I need to add that field to the Hardware(alm_hardware) table using dot walking. While I can see the field when dot walking in the list view
I'm unable to configure or add it directly to the Hardware(alm_hardware) table, As I can't see the Personal computer(cmdb_ci_pc_hardware) while using the configure Form layout on Hardware(alm_hardware).
Could anyone help me understand why I'm unable to configure this field on the Hardware(alm_hardware) table and how to resolve this issue?

Solution proposed by Servicenow Team.
I've checked this with product team and got the below update:
* Extended fields can be added to the list layout, but for the form layout, there is no way to add the fields to the form. Example: you can add caller_id from the incident table to the *task* list, they are not supported in forms (you can't add the same field to the task *form*).
* Only the Dot walked fields can be added to the form layout.
