Unable to deactivate record producers from Catalog Builder

Hi Community,

I have 2 record producers. When I do active false and submit it in the catalog builder - it creates a draft version of it. When I try to submit it again -> it get's published being active true.

So - I'm not able to deactivate these producers.

I am able to de-activate the producer from maintain items. But - we want to achieve this using catalog builder itself. End users owning these producers do not have access to maintain item tables. They tend to create/update/manage their items via the catalog builder itself.

Anyone came across this issue?

Regards,
Ritik

Hi @nirwan_ritik

This is a known behavior .

Refer : KB1122801 Catalog Item remains in Draft state when Submitting through Catalog Builder

  1. Handle a Checked-Out Published Item
    1. Navigate to Maintain Items and open the catalog item (State = Published, Checked Out = True).
    2. Click Cancel Checkout on the item.
    3. Re-open the item in Catalog Builder and make the necessary edits.
    4. Review and submit. Once submitted, the draft edits are merged into the published item and the draft copy is deleted.
