I'm on my instance under my admin account `admin@example.com` and I want to set my password. However, when I click on `generatePassword` it says password generation failed. Is there something that I'm missing or did I forget a step?

Simply go to the Users table and search for the System Admin record while in list view. Make sure that "Password" is also in the column display, then simply change the password in the "Password" field while in list view...as per below screenshot:
IF you then try to access your PDI again you'll be prompted to enter your login details (admin + newly set password).
Hope this helps. 🙂
