I am looking for some clarification on the Duration and Custom data types available in the Assessment Metric record.
1. Duration Data Type
While exploring this data type, I noticed the following:
- A Method with type "Assessment" is not available when configuring a Duration metric.
- When taking the assessment/survey, the Duration question does not appear to the end user.
- Because of this, I am wondering whether the Duration data type is intended to work in the background through scripts rather than through direct user input.
Could anyone help answer the following?
- What is the intended use case of the Duration data type?
- How is the duration value calculated or populated?
- Is it expected to be populated through scripts/business logic?
- In which field(s) of the asmt_assessment_instance_question table is the response/value stored?
2. Custom Data Type
I would also like to understand how the Custom data type works.
Specifically:
- What is the purpose of a Custom metric?
- How is it typically configured and used?
- Could someone provide a simple example of a custom widget used with this data type?
- What value or format should the widget return?
- In which field(s) of the asmt_assessment_instance_question table is the response stored?
Any sample implementations, screenshots, or documentation references would be greatly appreciated.
