Unloaded table does not match current table

I have a lookup field that was working - now when choose from the lookup I get a different value on Save.   When I watch the field I get the above message. Any ideas?

Check the dictionary entry to ensure the reference to the field is what you expect.

Unloaded table does not match current table sys_user

I also faced same error (in browser debugger) while trying to open sys_user list from a reference field. It opens a list but selected user value does not populated in the field.

Currently, we are using Helsinki version. While working with it due to list v3 issue,list wast not getting popped-up. Now we disabled list v3 and this issues raised.

Is there a client script involved somewhere? I did some digging and when people encounter this it is usually related to a client script error.
