Update Description of a Catalog Item

I need to update the Description of a Hardware Catalog item, but Short description and Description fields are not editable. 

Any idea on doing it?

Hello, 

Please check if there are any UI polices ,ACL's  or client script configured on those two fields 

Usually these  configurations are used to make fields read only

You want to update on catalog item itself or the RITM that got created?

If its on catalog item its my bad , I thought you need to update on RITM

if its on catalog item  what @Aman Kumar  suggested is correct .If its for RITM check for the above configurations
