Update set imported through XML doesnt got retrieved in Higher instance using Update source option

I have Update set imported through XML in dev instance.  

Now I want to retrieve those xml update set through Update source>retrieved update set option in uat instance.  But it is not showing xml update sets in the retrieved list in UAT. Can anyone let us know how can I do it?

@prit123 Can you check if the update set is already committed on the lower instance and the state of the update set is complete?

Yes in dev instance it is committed. 

Is it because I have used xml in dev and then committed the update set, I cannot retrieve the update set in higher instance through update source?
