Update set

Hi,

I created an update set in Tokyo instance(dev2) and moved it to Utah instance (dev3). Everything worked well and my changes got moved with no issue. However when I moved it to from dev3 to another Utah instance(dev4) All changes were gone for example ui policy missing the new entry, the form view also looks different. I think I miss something in moving the update set maybe adding the parent to one of my update set? I am not sure how to fix the issue, or what causing this? why it was good in dev3 but not correct in dev4? I have attached screenshot form the one in dev2 where the parent is empty and the second one from dev3

Hi @sparkles ,

It should show the configurations captured in the update set 02 in dev 4 (if it's committed correctly, verify committed update set in dev 04 it shows all the customer updates and number of inserts, updates and deletes) , pls double check

However update set 02 will not show updates from update set 01 unless u capture them again using update set 02

Ex:

created ui policy in dev2 - update set 01

Moved to drv 3

Created business rule dev 3 - update set 02

Dev 3 shows both ui policy and bt

When you move update set 02 to dev 4 -only shows BR not the UI policy

Hope this gives some clarity

Hi @sparkles ,

1.Did u get any errors or warning while moving update sets to dec 4(during preview)

2.did parent update set has any other update set added in dev3

3. If update sets are minimal, try backing out  the update set in dev 4 and delete retrieved update set entry in dev4, remove parent in dev 3,retrieve in dev 4 again, preview and commit.

Hello,

no for the first 2 questions. there is a lot of changes I made in dev3. sorry i forgot to add this information.

after moving to dev3 I created another update set and carryon with my work.

(update set 01) was moved from dev2 to dev3 and committed.

created (update set 02) in dev3 and add more changes

moved (update set 02) from dev3 to dev4

From your response it seems update set 01 is not moved to dev4 is this correct??
