User ID field gets auto populated and made read only using Chrome to manually create a user record.

When I (and many of my students - I'm a trainer) attempt to create a new user record in Madrid using Chrome, the User ID field gets populated with 'admin' and made read only. There's no ServiceNow functionality in place causing this behaviour, and in Firefox it works fine. Has anyone experienced this, or has any ideas of what's at play? Cached login name and password have been used.

Hi,

It's not read only. They simply need to click in that box and begin to type, but yes, it's a Chrome feature.

Turning Off Autofill in Chrome
Click the Chrome menu icon. (Three dots at top right of screen.)
Click on Settings.
In the "Autofill" section, expand the area for which you wish to disable Autofill.
Toggle the setting OFF if it is on. The system will automatically save your settings.

Thanks. I had hoped to get around it without turning off autofill, but that was obviously hoping too much. 😉
