Users in different domain but same company

We have a domain sep environment currently but we are having issues with admins that belong to the TOP domain but are in our company. Our developers need to be able to be assigned to tasks but right now the itil users that are their business leaders can't see them because they are in the company domain and tasks they are creating are in the company domain but the developers are global admin and live in the TOP domain.

Has anyone else run into this an know a way to solve this without creating our developers 2 separate users?

Hello Michael,

Just to extent this question further, let's say we have implemented Domain separation with CSM for extra layer of security and great customer experience then Account, company and domain should be same or it can be different?

Account, company and contacts would contain the same company domain.

Will you elaborate little more please,
for example : we have organisation who has 6 regions and every region has 5 business units
so when we creating a domain sep in those regions and BU's then we need to map this to 1:1 with company, accounts as well?
so which means that dom UK will have UK acc but what about Dom UK child Dom will they have different accounts and companies or they belongs to same company

I'm going to advise that you talk to your sales rep. You sound like you are all the same company but just want to limit Regions from seeing each other's data.

1) what/why are you using domain separation? You don't sound like a MSP. 2) You said each regions would have their own domain, but so would each BUs but I defer back to question 1. 3) Domain sep would separate regions, & bu's. Parent domains inhert child domains data. It's hard for me to advise when I don't know your structure and objectives.

Hello,
Just saw this message and realise that we should not keep any data or users in TOP domain, is that best practice?
