Variables/Questions displaying empty in report

Reporting on Variables - Typically this should be a straightforward but for some reason, I am not getting the values of the variables entered by the users. The report is showing blank entries but if I double click on the columns I can see the values. I have been looking at this for a couple of hours now and been baffled on the behaviour. Has anyone came across similar issue before?

Note: I can no longer see the "Variables" from the Available fields, now what I can see is "Questions"

how about checking on ACL if there is any restriction? turn on debugger and check ; just a thought.

Thanks for the reply Sushant, I am accessing as an admin and with all roles.

Still there might be few ACl's with admin override set to false.

Try turning on the debugger and and re-run the report and check if any Read ACL highlighted in Red

Looks like this is a known error:
